2 teams debate each other on a fun but thought-provoking topic around love/dating. After both sides have stated their case (and taken audience questions), the audience votes to decide which side wins!
There’s also time to network and meet other curious people (and, who knows, maybe even meet your next love interest…)
Everything will be explained on the night, but in short both teams have set times to state their cases (for or against the the question being debated), with a fun audience vote to be taken at the end.
Absolutely not… the traditions of debating (like they do in Parliament and places like Oxford and Cambridge) are quite stuffy, but we promise a fun and welcoming environment, with an emphasis on humour :)
The debaters have been selected in advance, so a Standard Ticket means you’re just watching the debate - but there’s a section in the middle for (optional) audience questions.

There is no bar at the venue, but you can bring your own drinks!
The event operates an 18+ age limit.
Sadly we can’t accommodate animals (however cute they are!)
There is street parking around the 8th district, but no parking at the venue; we recommend arriving by public transport!
